Social Username Checker
Search 9 major social networks instantly and secure your brand.
The Importance of Brand Consistency
Your username is your identity in the digital world. With our tool, you can search all major platforms at once and find an available name everywhere and secure it before anyone else does.
We let you search the platforms that matter most to you: GitHub and Reddit for communities, Twitter/X and Threads for public conversation, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch for content creators, plus Pinterest and Instagram.
Tips for Choosing a Great Username
- Keep it Short: The shorter your username, the better it will be for mobile device users.
- Avoid Numbers: If you append "123" to your name, it may look as if you are a bot or an afterthought.
- Think Long-Term: You may be okay with your current name now, but what about five or ten years from now? Choose a name that will remain professional in the long term.
- Act Fast: Good usernames are taken in an instant. If you find a good one, grab it quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do some checks take longer?
Each platform has its own rate limits and response times. Sites like Twitter and TikTok often have stricter bot detection, which may result in an "Uncertain" status or a slightly longer wait time to ensure accuracy.
How does the username checker work?
Simply enter the name you want to secure and click "Check Now". We immediately make a request in real-time to the public profile endpoints for all supported platforms at once. If a profile exists, we mark the handle as "Taken". If no profile is found, it is labeled "Available".
What does "Uncertain" mean?
There are times when a platform (particularly Instagram) may temporarily block automated requests or be undergoing maintenance. In these cases, we display an "Uncertain" status with a yellow indicator. You can click the card to manually verify the profile's existence directly on the platform.
Which platforms do you check?
We currently support Instagram, TikTok, Twitter (X), Threads, Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, GitHub, and Pinterest. We are constantly expanding this list to include more social networks and developer platforms.
